3. Replaceable Modular Design: Plug-in module structure allows for quick and easy replacement without system downtime.
4. Built-in Thermal Cut-off: Integrated thermal disconnection mechanism enhances operational safety by preventing overheating and failures.
5. Status Display Window: Visual indicator provides a clear view of the device's working condition for fast status checks.
6. Optional Remote Monitoring: Includes a remote signaling interface for real-time status tracking and integration with monitoring systems.
7. Standards Compliant: Fully compliant with IEC 61643-31, EN 50539-11, and GB/T 18802.31 to ensure reliable and standardized protection.
Advantages
1. Extended Equipment Lifespan: Minimizes the risk of damage to sensitive DC equipment, reducing repair and replacement costs.2. Enhanced System Reliability: Ensures stable operation of PV systems and other DC installations by mitigating surge-related failures.
3. Reduced Downtime: Helps prevent power interruptions caused by transient surges, keeping critical systems continuously operational.
4. Cost-Effective Protection: Offers long-term savings by preventing damage from high-energy surges and reducing maintenance expenses.
5. Ideal for Harsh Environments: Performs well in outdoor and industrial settings where exposure to lightning and switching surges is frequent.
6. Supports Renewable Integration: Optimized for use in photovoltaic and battery storage systems, ensuring safe and efficient energy harvesting.
Application
1. Photovoltaic (PV) Systems: Provides surge protection for solar panels, inverters, and combiner boxes in rooftop or ground-mounted installations.2. Energy Storage Systems (ESS): Safeguards battery banks and charge controllers from DC surge damage in off-grid and hybrid setups.
3. EV Charging Stations: Protects DC fast-charging infrastructure from transient overvoltage and lightning surges.
4. DC Distribution Panels: Installed in DC power distribution boards to protect downstream equipment in industrial and commercial systems.
5. Telecom and Base Stations: Shields critical communication equipment powered by 1000V DC systems from surge disturbances.
6. Railway and Transport Systems: Applied in DC-powered transportation infrastructure to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations.
Installation
1. Installation Location: Mount the SPD as close as possible to the protected DC equipment (e.g., inverter, combiner box) in the photovoltaic or DC power system.2. Connection Point: Install between the positive and negative DC lines and the ground. For PV systems, place it on the DC side of the inverter or inside the combiner box.
3. Wiring: Use short, thick cables to minimize voltage drop. Ensure all wiring complies with the rated current and insulation requirements. Grounding must be secure and low-resistance.
4. Polarity Check: Double-check positive (+), negative (−), and ground (PE) terminals to prevent reverse connection.
5. Mounting Method: Install the SPD on a DIN rail inside a protected enclosure. Ensure it’s in a dry, ventilated, and accessible area for maintenance.
6. Safety Precautions: Disconnect power before installation. Follow local electrical standards and manufacturer instructions strictly.
7. Remote Monitoring (if applicable): Connect the remote signal terminals to a monitoring system for status reporting and fault indication.
