Gigabit Ethernet Surge Suppressor is designed to protect network equipment from lightning strikes, power surges, and electrostatic discharge. Supporting full 10/100/1000 Mbps data transmission, it ensures high-speed, uninterrupted connectivity while safeguarding switches, routers, IP cameras, and other sensitive devices. Its plug-and-play design makes installation simple, with no power supply required. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications in home, office, or industrial environments. Built with high-quality materials for long-lasting performance, it meets industry safety standards and provides peace of mind in harsh network conditions.
Features
1. 10/100/1000 Mbps Support: Fully compatible with high-speed Gigabit Ethernet networks.2. RJ45 Interface: Standard Ethernet port design for quick plug-and-play integration.
3. High Surge Protection: Effectively diverts lightning-induced and transient surges up to 10kA or more.
4. PoE Compatibility: Supports Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af/at) for devices such as IP cameras and access points.
5. Low Insertion Loss: Maintains network speed and signal integrity without bandwidth degradation.
6. Ultra-Fast Response: Nanosecond-level clamping time to protect sensitive electronics instantly.
7. Compact & Durable Design: Space-saving enclosure with industrial-grade components for indoor or outdoor use.
8. Compliance Standards: Built to IEC 61643 and EN 50539 for reliable Ethernet surge protection.
Advantages
1. Reliable Equipment Protection: Shields network routers, switches, and end devices from surge damage.2. Zero Network Interruption: Preserves uninterrupted data transfer and signal quality, even during power disturbances.
3. Extended System Life: Prevents premature failure of expensive networking hardware.
4. Full PoE Security: Ideal for PoE-powered equipment, ensuring safe surge isolation.
5. Cost-Effective Defense: Eliminates the need for frequent replacements and repairs due to surge events.
6. Maintenance-Free Operation: Long-lasting performance with minimal servicing required.
Applications
1. Data Centers: Protects core Ethernet infrastructure, servers, and switches.2. Office Networks: Secures LAN segments, VoIP phones, and IP-based systems.
3. Surveillance Systems: Shields PoE IP cameras, NVRs, and access control systems.
4. Telecom Installations: Ensures safe signal continuity in base stations and Ethernet backhaul links.
5. Smart Buildings: Protects building automation and IoT devices connected via Ethernet.
6. Outdoor Networking: Secures Ethernet lines to outdoor access points, cameras, and antennas from lightning.
7. Industrial Control Systems: Keeps SCADA, PLCs, and monitoring systems surge-free.
Installation
1. Identify Ethernet Line: Locate the cable carrying the network signal into the protected device (e.g., router, PoE switch).2. Connect the IN Port: Plug the incoming Ethernet cable into the “LINE” or “IN” RJ45 port on the surge suppressor.
3. Connect the OUT Port: Attach another Ethernet cable from the “OUT” port to the target device (switch, camera, etc.).
4. Grounding: Properly ground the unit using the designated terminal and a short copper wire to the nearest grounding bar.
5. Power Up and Test: Restore power and verify the Ethernet connection is stable and operating at full speed.
6. Periodic Inspection: Check LED indicators (if available) and inspect the unit after major storms or electrical events.
