BS RJ45G 24(A) Installation

Installation

1. Identify Ethernet Line: Locate the cable carrying the network signal into the protected device (e.g., router, PoE switch).
2. Connect the IN Port: Plug the incoming Ethernet cable into the “LINE” or “IN” RJ45 port on the surge suppressor.
3. Connect the OUT Port: Attach another Ethernet cable from the “OUT” port to the target device (switch, camera, etc.).
4. Grounding: Properly ground the unit using the designated terminal and a short copper wire to the nearest grounding bar.
5. Power Up and Test: Restore power and verify the Ethernet connection is stable and operating at full speed.
6. Periodic Inspection: Check LED indicators (if available) and inspect the unit after major storms or electrical events.
