BS 10G EA 4PPoE WP is intended for Ethernet links that carry both high-speed data and PoE power beyond the protected network cabinet. It supports transmission rates up to 10Gbit/s and Class EA bandwidth to 500MHz, while all four pairs remain available for modern PoE systems. Shielded RJ45 connections keep the protector directly in line with the existing copper network, allowing surge protection to be added without changing the basic Ethernet architecture.
Features
1. 10G Class EA Transmission: Supports Ethernet speeds up to 10Gbit/s with a transmission bandwidth of up to 500MHz, matching high-speed copper network requirements.2. Four-Pair PoE Architecture: All four Ethernet pairs remain available for data and power transmission, supporting modern four-pair powered network connections.
3. IEEE PoE Compatibility: Compatible with IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt, covering PoE, PoE+, PoE++ and 4PPoE systems.
4. Multi-Category Cabling Support: Works with CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a and CAT7 copper cabling, allowing integration into different structured cabling specifications.
5. Shielded RJ45 Interface: Uses shielded RJ45 sockets for direct connection to standard Ethernet cabling and compatible network equipment.
6. Defined Surge Protection Performance: Specified for B2, C1, C2, C3 and D1 impulse categories, providing documented protection characteristics for Ethernet and PoE conductors.
Advantages
1. Keeps Power and Data on One Protected Route: PoE power does not require a separate protection path, allowing the existing Ethernet architecture to remain intact.2. Reduces Interface Changes During Retrofit: Standard RJ45 connections allow the protection device to be inserted into existing copper links without changing connector formats.
3. Supports Network Standardization Across Projects: Compatibility with several cable categories allows the same protection concept to be retained even when cabling specifications differ between installations.
4. Establishes a Clear Protection Boundary: The device can be placed where exposed Ethernet cabling enters a protected network zone, giving surge energy a defined interception point before the link continues toward network equipment.
5. Avoids Separate Devices for Different PoE Generations: Support for IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt allows one protection format to cover multiple PoE system generations.
Applications
1. LPZ Transition Points: Installed where copper Ethernet lines cross from an exposed lightning protection zone into a more protected network area.2. 10 Gigabit Copper Networks: Used on high-speed Ethernet links requiring surge protection while retaining Class EA transmission capability.
3. Industrial Ethernet Connections: Used where copper Ethernet connects distributed field equipment with industrial network infrastructure.
4. Structured Cabling Installations: Suitable for CAT5 through CAT7 copper network links that require an additional surge protection stage.
5. Powered Ethernet Field Links: Installed on network connections that carry both data and PoE power between protected network equipment and remote devices.
