Surge protector type 2 is installed at the main distribution board to guard electrical systems against transient overvoltages from indirect lightning strikes and switching surges. It acts as the second line of defense in a multi-stage protection system, following Type 1 devices. Ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial settings, it supports various power configurations including single-phase and three-phase systems. Designed to meet IEC 61643-11 standards, it offers reliable protection, thermal safety features, and optional remote signaling.

Features

1. SPD Type 2 (Class II): Designed to handle residual surges from Type 1 devices and switching operations.
2. Installed at Distribution Level: Mounted in main or sub-distribution panels to protect downstream circuits.
3. Medium Discharge Capacity: Effectively manages surge currents typically caused by indirect lightning and grid disturbances.
4. Multi-Pole Configuration: Available in single-phase, three-phase, or "3+1" setups for various power systems.
5. Thermal Disconnection Mechanism: Includes built-in thermal protection to safely disconnect during fault conditions.
6. Visual Status Indicator: Provides clear indication of device status for easy maintenance and monitoring.
7. Optional Remote Signaling: Enables integration with building management or alarm systems for remote fault alerts.
8. Standards-Compliant Design: Manufactured in accordance with IEC 61643-11 and other relevant surge protection standards.
Class II Surge Protector

Advantages

1. Intermediate Surge Protection: Acts as a crucial second line of defense after Type 1 protection, managing residual surges.
2. Protects Electrical Infrastructure: Shields distribution panels, wiring, and connected devices from transient overvoltages.
3. Reduces Equipment Downtime: Prevents surge-related failures, helping maintain productivity in homes, offices, and industries.
4. Increases Safety: Minimizes risk of fire, shock, or damage caused by electrical surges in high-energy environments.
5. Enhances Equipment Lifespan: Prevents wear from frequent voltage spikes, extending the life of electrical and electronic devices.
6. Easy Integration: Fits seamlessly into main and sub-distribution boards for efficient protection without system redesign.
T2 SPD

Applications
