Type 1 Surge Protective Devices are designed for installation at the main power entry point to protect electrical systems from high-energy lightning currents and external surges. These devices divert large surge currents safely to ground before they enter the internal electrical network. Commonly used in residential, commercial, and industrial installations, they provide the first line of defense against lightning-induced overvoltage. By managing extreme surge energy at the source, Type 1 Surge Protective Devices reduce system stress, improve power stability, and protect downstream equipment, ensuring long-term reliability and safe operation of electrical infrastructure.

Features

1. Power Entry Point Protection: Installed at the main distribution board to intercept high-energy surges before they enter internal circuits and equipment.
2. Lightning Current Handling Capability: Designed to withstand and safely discharge direct or indirect lightning currents without damaging the electrical system.
3. High Surge Current Capacity: Supports large impulse currents, making it suitable for environments exposed to severe external electrical disturbances.
4. Direct Grounding Coordination: Works closely with grounding systems to ensure efficient and safe dissipation of surge energy.
5. Continuous Passive Operation: Provides automatic protection without requiring manual intervention or system adjustments.
6. Multi-Environment Compatibility: Suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial installations with varying power configurations.
